I tried Bellisima Monday morning at 11am, right when the store opened. My server Charlie was fast, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu! He also took into account my preferences when making a recommendation. Ask for Charlie when you go in! The meal started with a complimentary slice of warmed fluffy house made focaccia and a side of balsamic/oil for dipping. Delish! I could eat three slices! While Bellisima has a special lunch menu with many delicious options, I elected to order off of the evening menu. I went for the lobster ravioli for my early lunch. The lobster ravioli is the perfect portion for one! The delightful ravioli comes in a pink sauce that is lightly citrusy and pairs well with the lobster. The pasta is house made so it is tender and chewy! The interior is well lit with a classy and inviting vibe. Bellisima boasts a special drinks and cocktail menu and is equipped with a full bar. And, it is summer in Texas, so I would be remiss if I did not mention that the building is well air conditioned! Overall great dining experience! I will be going back!
Bellissima where have you been all our lives? Words cannot express how delicious the food is here. It was our first time and service, menu, and variety did not disappoint! Family owned which made the experience unique. Paired with the friendly ambiance, we had a Caesar salad, perfectly dressed, creamy, and not overly fishy, which is absolutely perfect for me. 2 glasses of cold, crisp J.Lohr Chardonnay was paired with our shrimp picante pasta and chicken parmesan over fettuccine. Both entrees came out quick, fast, hot, and utterly amazing. The pasta, shrimp and chicken were perfectly cooked (chef’s kiss!) We finished the meal with the tiramisu that the mama made and it was so fluffy & decadent topped with chocolate shavings. We highly recommend Bellissima. You won’t be disappointed - it will become your neighborhood go to! We will see you there!
It was Wifey's birthday and we had guests coming over in the evening, so we figured we should go out for a nice lunch instead of dinner. We had heard positive things about Bellissima from friends and it was not too far so we picked it. We started with Bellinis for both of us and the complementary bread they got us. We got the Spicy Chicken pasta and Chicken Involtini for the main course, both of which our server recommended. Both the dishes were excellent. It's obvious that they use fresh and high-quality ingredients, and the food feels healthy. If you are reading this review, it's safe to assume you have not been to Bellissima. I would highly recommend it. We will go back many more times, this is our new favorite Italian restaurant now.
This bustling Italian gem is the brain child of two Bosnian descended families. The waitstaff and cooks are family. The sauce is handmade by the matriarch and the rolls are made from Italian flour which is also the pizza crust. The desserts are also handmade by the matriarch. You should check out this old world charm restaurant with Italian favorites, healthy risotto dishes, and pizza.
I am very sensitive to USA gluten, or rather, glyphosates, which are blasted onto United States crops and cause gut issues, inflammation and more. Essentially, I can’t eat gluten in the states without a severe reaction. However, at Bellissima, they make the pasta with two different Italian flours that they import from Italy. No glyphosates! Even if you are sensitive to gluten, you can eat pasta here! The dishes are incredible and you won’t feel brain fog and inflammation the next day like most Italian restaurants! The wait staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable! Patrick and Sean are the best! I do wish they would omit the use of seed oils, but I’m sure you could ask the chefs to substitute, and they would oblige. Overall, incredible experience, I love frank Sinatra in the background, too. Please come and try it for yourself!
I went during lunch as part of a small group of 6. I had the bruschetta and the surf and twist spaghetti. Complimentary rolls and butter were well-baked, with a crisp crust and soft interior. The bruschetta was very fresh and tasty - you could tell it was prepared from scratch. Pasta portioning was perfect, not too much and just generous enough for a midday meal. It was nicely hot, and the sauce had a lovely lemon "twist" to it. The service was exceptional! Our waiter was very attentive and helpful, and our orders came out quickly. Everyone at the table enjoyed our meals, and I'll definitely be returning with my family!
